The chamber serves as a combination public relations and marketing service for its members and acts as a governmental liaison and business advocate.

Public relations and marketing on an individual basis can be costly. The Chamber provides its members with several economic opportunities for their businesses to be viable, grow, prosper and generate sales tax revenue that maintains the El Cerrito's high quality of life.

We're your business partner, from offering needed information about the city to the grand opening ribbon cutting ceremonies. We help businesses make their presence known throughout the community via joint advertising opportunities on city maps, directories and other publications. We provide businesses with free news items in the Chamber's monthly newsletter, and through press releases to local newspapers such as the West County Times. Twice yearly a special El Cerrito Round-Up advertising supplement runs in Marketplace magazine.

Most importantly we are your network to neighboring businesses and the community. Serving as a clearinghouse of information, we receive calls daily for goods and services. Chamber members are our referral list. For walk-in requests, opportunities are available to display your business advertisements and cards in the Chamber office.

Finally, the Chamber works hard to keep its members informed of projects and activities of city government that could affect the future of the business community. Serving as an advocate and spokesperson of local business we keep you informed of legislation and tax issues.

Join us for our monthly business luncheons, held on the second Wednesday of each month (except July and August), or for our occasional late-afternoon mixers. Mixers are a great opportunity to showcase your business to other members.
